Dear colleagues,

 

The MITOS Group (Musculoskeletal Imaging Techniques – Ongoing Sonography – A task force for Greek Rheumatologists) was founded in 2009, by a small group of pioneering Rheumatologists, who were trained in approved European Training Centers in application of ultrasound in management of musculoskeletal disorders.

 

The purpose of the MITOS Group is to contribute actively to the promotion and spreading of the diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound (MSUS) in Rheumatology and not only. At the same time, through theoretical and practical seminars, it aims to train all colleagues who deal with disorders of the musculoskeletal system. Additionally, the MITOS Group aims to establish US diagnostic method in daily clinical practice taking into account that the widespread use of diagnostic ultrasound is a very important in the management of patients with musculoskeletal diseases and the improvement of their life quality.

 

Following our already successful path, both in Greece and in Europe, alongside the ongoing training of the Team members themselves, we will continue our work by organizing local and international training seminars and Courses.

We hope that our Team will gain new members with the same vigor, patience, determination and hard work, but also with new and innovative ideas that will further enrich our already prosperous work.
